New wheels for the Cederberg

Published: 03 April 2017

We are officially part of the Ford Wildlife Foundation, and excited to share the wonderful news that Ford Wildlife Foundation has presented the Cape Leopard Trust with a Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 bakkie in support of the Cederberg project. Helen, Lana and Hadley travelled to Jaffes Ford in Worcester to take delivery of the vehicle in an official handover ceremony with dealer principal De Villiers Barry and Lynda du Plessis from the Ford Wildlife Foundation committee.

The handover forms part of Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa’s (FMCSA) commitment to the conservation and preservation of the environment in Sub Saharan Africa. In September 2014, FMCSA officially established the Ford Wildlife Foundation to continue that support.

We are looking forward to putting the Ford Ranger through its paces as a well-respected all-terrain vehicle that will support our work by carrying vital equipment, and providing safe and comfortable transport for our research teams in all weathers over a variety of challenging landscapes

A big thank you to Ford Wildlife Foundation!
