Growing up in nature played a big role in the life of Springbok flank Pieter-Steph du Toit.

Pieter-Steph and his brothers grew up on a farm in Riebeek Kasteel and admits that nature was always a big part of his life. Harvest time was his favourite, and after school, he would head for the fields to drive the tractor and help load the crates.

Pieter-Steph learnt a lot from working with the people on the farm, particularly witnessing their respect for the environment, which is an important ingredient for successful farming.

"Nature and being outdoors is my life,” he said. "We all need to learn to live in harmony with wildlife, and this is where I hope to make a difference by being a proud ambassador - to share my passion for leopards and the wonders of nature".
