They’ll be using infra-red camera traps in order to survey the leopards and other mammals of this vast region. This will be done in collaboration with Cape Nature, the Animal Demography Unit (ADU) of the University of Cape Town, the City of Cape Town as well as private landowners in the area. Public participation and awareness will be an important part of their study, so watch this space for exciting opportunities!
