Surviving the Roughest and Toughest

Published: 25 March 2015
The Cape Leopard Trust is immensely proud of our riders who managed to successfully complete the 2015 ABSA Cape Epic. That in itself is a huge physical feat given this mountain bike race is now known as the roughest and toughest in the world.

We would like to say a big thank you to the four riders that signed up to take on the challenge on behalf of the Trust, and especially to our partners Bridgestone who sponsored the Cape leopard team, who came in an amazing 63rd overall for the week out of almost 300 teams racing over leopard territory to claim the ultimate victory.

An enjoyable day at Meerendal with our partners Avis ended a spectacular week of MTB at its best. We must also express our gratitude and appreciation to the hard working and professional organisers at the ABSA Cape Epic who make sure everything stays on track, especially Marc Erasmus our coordinator.
