Leopard Signboards take root in the Winelands

Published: 26 June 2015

Cascade Country Manor in Paarl is one of a growing group of private land owners to take delivery of a ‘leopards in the fynbos’ interpretive signboards.

Owner Maika Goetze invited The Cape Leopard Trust staff to see the sign in place, and to visit the office space kindly sponsored by Maika and her husband Volker for the Trust's Environmental Educator, Catherine Kühn.

The new office gives the CLT a broader presence in the Boland, and Cascade Manor will partner with the CLT to host some of the local environmental education programmes as well as a fundraising sport based event.

The signs inform visitors about leopards and the biodiversity in the area.
