CLT Environmental Education 2020 Art Competition Winners

Published: 28 September 2020

The annual Cape Leopard Trust Environmental Education art competition has come to close and we are excited to share the artworks of our winners!

The 2020 competition was created to encourage the reuse and recycling of everyday materials and to inspire innovation. The aim was to create a leopard sculpture out of recycled, reused, or repurposed materials, and to adorn the sculpture with the creative use and adaptation of everyday items we would normally throw away.

The two creative artworks that walked away with the winning honours are as follows:

10-13 years – Zakes Willan with “Sitting leopard”

14-16 years – Katie Swain with “Beauty Wasted”

We would like to thank all of our entrants for their time and passion and for being young ambassadors for nature!
