An Epic Finish For Cape Leopard Trust Cyclists

Published: 29 March 2016

We are pleased to report back that both teams riding the 2016 ABSA Cape Epic on behalf of The Cape Leopard Trust finished the face, each doing exceptionally well in their individual categories and placements.

Helen Turnbull and Yvonne Kamp spent the day at Meerendal for the Grand Finale, and got to meet Thomas Oberli and Dirk Pauling of Switzerland in person, and we were privileged to have them spend some time with us as they reflected on their ‘8 Days of Courage’. Thomas and Dirk who run their own charity, ‘Bike2Help’, back in their home country enjoyed a well deserved picnic lunch with us and our partners Avis.

The Cape Leopard Trust was fortunate to be one of the appointed regional charities linked to the ABSA Cape Epic, and full credit must go to CEO Lynn Naudé and the entire ABSA Cape Epic organising team for the professional and slick event, which attracts riders from all over the globe to cycle across Cape leopard territory in a battle between man and nature on two wheels. We congratulate all cyclists who successfully completed the race on their incredible achievement.
