Anatolian Livestock Guardian Dogs For Sale in the Cederberg

Anatolian Livestock Guardian Dogs For Sale in the Cederberg
Published: 09 May 2012

Rinda Nieuwoudt at Kromrivier Cederberg Tourist Park has 3 Anatolian puppies (10 weeks old ) for sale at R3 000 each. They have bred good dogs in the past, so if you are looking for a suitable animal to protect your livestock against predators, then this could be it.

The pups are also the right age to join lambs in a kraal.

The CLT believes that although these dogs can work alone, they need to be carefully trained and monitored. Any aberrant behaviour should be noted and dealt with as soon as possible by seeking expert opinion from the appropriate dog breeders/handlers (e.g. Rinda or Cheetah Outreach).

Also, we believe the best way to use these dogs is with a livestock herder, as this is how they were used traditionally.
