Ultradog to the Rescue

Published: 19 September 2014

The Cape Leopard Trust and Conservation South Africa would like to say a big thank you to Francois Ebersohn of Nola and Foodcorp, manufacturers of the 'Ultradog' veterinary range of dog food.

Francois and his Cape Town counterpart, Morne Smit, answered our desperate plea for help on behalf of the Namaqua Cape Leopard Trust/Conservation South Africa project with their commitment to supply enough dog food to feed our newest 'predator protectors' until the end of this year.

The Namaqua project is doing important work partnering with Woolworths assisting farmers to implement sound sustainability principles in meat production.

As part of this concept, 8 anatolian shepherd dogs have recently been placed with selected farmers who are part of the project. These fast growing pups have huge appetites, and definitely need to be building up their strength as they  will soon be out in the veld guarding their new livestock families.

The first instalment of 400kg of dog food was delivered to The Cape Leopard Trust office just in the nick of time, and quickly hit the road where the farmers were anxiously waiting for their special deliveries of 'Superwoof' puppy food.
