MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet - The Cape Leopard Trust as a beneficiary

Published: 25 April 2012

The Cape Leopard Trust has been provisionally accepted to become a MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet beneficiary, a fundraising initiative run by Woolworths. This social responsibility programme currently supports over 10 000 schools and 600 charitable organisations, and we would like to be added to this list.

There are various criteria a new beneficiary has to meet before their application is accepted.  This is to ensure that the programme is successful and sustainable in the long term. One of the challenges faced is to secure a large enough support base who would apply for the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card and nominate the Cape Leopard Trust as their reward beneficiary.

The Cape Leopard Trust is in a very fortunate position, in that we have over 2000 individuals on our email database and over 1000 fans on social media sites. For the Woolworths initiative we need a minimum of 200 supporters to sign up for the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card and send their completed application form through to us.

The process is very straightforward. If you would like to receive an application form click here, or email [email protected]. Once you have downloaded the form, print it out and fill it in, scan and send back to Gregg. Alternatively, please fax to 086 543 1370. The fax number on the application form is incorrect and is sent to our temperamental fax machine in the Cederberg. Please do not send to the fax number on the application form!

Following the collection of our 200+ applications, we will forward these on to the MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet programme for final approval. Your card will be mailed back to the address you entered on your application form. Once you have your card, all you need to do is swipe it when paying for your grocery shopping at Woolworths. This simple action will earn valuable funding for the Cape Leopard Trust’s research, conservation and education projects.

If you already have a MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card, you can still make a difference, simply by choosing to make the Cape Leopard Trust one of your preferred beneficiaries on the application form that we can send you. This will also count towards our initial target of 200 people, so please make the Cape Leopard Trust one of your beneficiaries today.

Please remember, if you decide to fax your application form, to send it to 086 543 1370.
