Green Carpet Event - Join The Cape Leopard Trust to Celebrate Earth Day with Art, Poetry & Conservation

Published: 06 April 2016

In partnership with Hotel Verde, Africa’s first Carbon Neutral Hotel we are hosting a special celebration of conservation, art and poetry on Thursday, 21 April 2016, to mark Earth Day and in aid of our environmental education project.

This special evening of entertainment and networking includes a ‘leopard' poetry reading and a sharing by Dr Ian McCallum. Other special guests include Justin Bonello, the ultimate braai master, chatting with us about how he became a passionate leopard conservationist, Trevor Tutu and the 2015 recipients of the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa, sponsored by Investec Asset Management, Garth Owen-Smith, in recognition of his lifetime contribution alongside Dr. Margaret Jacobsohn to the restoration and conservation of wildlife in Namibia.

The cost of R275 p/p includes dinner, wine and entertainment.
Dr Kristin Bentley is holding the light hearted auction which includes the winning 14 children’s artworks, and 2 charcoal sketches created by the well-known artist, Belinda McLeod-Smith. We are challenging conservation minded friends to support one table of ten and to come and learn more about our efforts to create responsible future custodians of the Earth.

Challenge your friends, family and colleagues to enjoy an evening of fun with us.
