On the SPOT Sponsorship

The Adopt-A-Spot Programme is the latest sponsorship option that allows you “time-share” in one of the leopards under the research of the Cape Leopard Trust. As there are not that many leopards to go around so to speak and many people who are interested in particular leopards, but cannot afford the costly adoption option, the Cape Leopard Trust devised a way of allowing many people access information on a leopard through the adoption of a spot or rosette on the leopard of their choice. This is a great opportunity for schools and large corporate to get involved in a sponsorship drive.

The cost of adopting a spot will be R500 for the year.  In return, the Cape Leopard Trust will send you quarterly updates with  photographs and information on the whereabouts of a rather well known and elusive leopard living in the Cederberg called 'Spot'. Your name will also appear on the website as one of the sponsors of 'Spot' for the year of your sponsorship. We are hoping to add a male Boland leopard to our 'adopt a spot' initiative soon. We will keep you posted.

Did you know? A leopard can have over 500 “spots”.
This equates to over a R250 000 per annum sponsorship!
